But how do we end up getting paid by these large corporations?  Easy, survey sites act as the middle-men.  Companies like Walmart, Nike, Dell and Panasonic go to survey sites and ask them to get their surveys filled by a specific audience of people.  That could be males aged 18-35, women have 1-2 children or people who have incomes over $30,000.  Every company needs different data.  When you register with the survey site, they collect this data from you and then provide relevant surveys for you to take.  In exchange for you filling out these in demand surveys, they share with you the profits. 

Seeing as how the large corporations pay such big bucks and the survey sites are willing to share in the profits, this is how you can make money doing surveys.  It’s really a simple concept.  This has been done in the past with phone surveys, it’s just that back then the middle-man was the telemarketing company and people were only compensated with gift certificates.

With the advent of the Internet that all has changed.  With the ability to reach a wider audience, we are now able to share in the profits.
